A Bebop Tail Cattery
A Bebop Tail cattery was originally know as Bebop cattery in the TICA organization. Now A Bebop Tail in the CFA and ACFA, the cats and kittens of the cattery are of top quality and health. Bebop was one of the founders of the breed in the TICA organization and supported the breed as breed chair for many years and a rough beginning for this breed.
With the understanding of the origins, and the originators of the breed, A Bebop Tail Cattery knows the look and the goals of the American Bobtail. Years of breeding and showing experence; working with the judges and organizations to write our standard basis, have lead to a great understanding of the breed, and the type of cats that judges are looking for.
Based in Iowa, we are in the heart of the area where the original breeders started with the American Bobtails. The original type cats and first written standards that were introduced to TICA were developed in Iowa, from shorttailed stock that originated in Arizona. The first TICA introduced cats were colorpoints with white markings, a semi-long coat and of course a short tail. TICA accepted the American Bobtail with all colors and coat patterns.
Now a Championship breed in TICA and ACFA, also a well established new breed in CFA, the American Bobtail is on the way to becoming a world wide accepted and shown breed. Great temperments and health have helped the Ameican Bobtail to get to the top, and will keep them there, Champions all the way!
